The Soccer Academy takes place on a Saturday morning at Turnbull High School in St.Mary's Road Bishopbriggs from 10am until 12pm. The School is run by fully qualified SFA Coaches with many years experience developing young footballers in the area.
The school caters for boys and girls age four and a half to approximately seven years old. Players aged eight (and sometimes younger) are then placed in a team to take part in the East Dunbartonshire Soccer Sevens.
Boys and girls should bring trainers , football strip or shorts and t-shirt, a drink (water or weak dilluted drink, no fizzy drinks). All other equipment is provided. We coach the youngsters in the Games Hall away from our inclement weather .

The aim of the Academy is to give the boys and girls an introduction in a fun environment, into the skills of the game - as said through lots of fun, team working, a bit of concentration, some hard work, some football, working at skills. Mainly done through ball work (all our kids have a football to work with). And the underlying aim of all this, on top of having a good time !
We want to make kids feel good, feel confident and make them able to express themselves. We constantly praise the boys and girls and we try very hard to ensure even the young and shy kids get the chance to shine through and score goals and we are not phased if this takes years to achieve because we believe in what we are trying to do, hopefully it shows.
