SRB fell to a defeat to Tom Jones to give them the double over the Bellarmines this season in a disappointing performance.

In came Scott, Mucca, Thomas and Pinno for Smiga, Brooksy, Coey and Wilko. SRB started off slowly against a team who played with a lot of desire and pace. Tom Jones forced the early play and came close on several occasions. SRB managed to come back into the game however and had a goal from Mike Muller ruled out for offside, and Thomas came close with a volley. SRB kept it tight at the back, with Scott especially coping well with a fast, skilful striker who was always an outlet for his team due to his prodigious work rate (Lloydo / Mark take note!!!!!) Unfortunately SRB lost Pinno to injury and Sugar came on in his place forcing SRB into a reshuffle.

Second half began with a mixup in the defence which saw the Tom Jones striker played onside as they took the lead. Showing greater desire and commitment up to this point, they deserved their lead. SRB upped it a bit with Lloydo and Limo going close. A poor decision from the ref cost SRB a goal as he pulled Sugar up for offside after a good move, and Tom Jones scored the decisive second following a mistake. There was no way back for the Bellies as Tom Jones did the double this season over us. 2-0 final score.

Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
