TEAM HISTORY
EDFC 1997 A BRIEF HISTORY (08/02/09)

EDFC 1997 began in 2004 and played in the East Dunbartonshire soccer sevens up until December 2008. In September 2006 the teams older boys and their coaches left to form a new EDFC 1996 and at this point Mark and Michael took over the coaching duties. Players were added over the next year to bring the numbers back up to 12 and then in January 2009 6 new players joined from the folding EDFC Thistle team. We now have a squad of 16 players as we move forward to 11 a side in the Cumbernaul and Kilsyth League from Sep 09.
